BayHap
Useful tool to analyze haplotypic association

This software estimates haplotypic frequencies from an input sample of genotypes, even with uncertainty, and it also analyzes the association between haplotypes and a response variable of binary, quantitative or survival type.

The theoretical issues in which BayHap is based on, belong to the frame of Bayesian statistics and MCMC techniques.

Given a sample of SNPs for a set of individuals, BayHap produces the following output:
  • Estimated frequencies for each possible haplotype in the genotype sample.
  • Standard errors for haplotypic frequencies.
  • Estimated OR or HRR for each haplotype.
  • Credibility intervals for each risk measure.
BayHap is being developed to run as a web tool (within SNPStats) and also as a package inside the R environment.
